Invisalign in Allen & McKinney, TX
When you hear the word “orthodontics,” what comes to mind? Probably a young teenager with traditional braces. While many orthodontic patients fit that description, Invisalign® clear aligners are an increasingly popular, virtually invisible alternative to braces.
At Creekview & McKinney Orthodontics, Dr. Ghosh and Dr. Lofgren are Blue Diamond Plus Invisalign providers, meaning they are in the top 1% of Invisalign providers nationwide.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-made aligner trays that gradually straighten your teeth. There are no archwires, brackets or food restrictions as with metal braces. Invisalign treatment is a great solution for patients of all ages looking for an invisible method to improve their smiles.

How does Invisalign work?
Before getting your Invisalign aligners, your Allen and McKinney, TX orthodontists, Dr. Ghosh and Dr. Lofgren of Creekview & McKinney Orthodontics, will use special 3D computer technology to map out your treatment plan. This includes deciding which teeth will need to move and where they will need to move to give you the ideal smile.
From this information, your aligners are created. The aligners straighten your smile by placing controlled force on the teeth. Invisalign aligners gently and continuously move your natural teeth in small increments. They are designed to fit closely to your teeth and are contoured around the gums to reduce friction and irritation. This close fit makes for an extremely comfortable feel. Most patients forget they are even wearing their aligners.
When you visit our office for your checkups (which are less frequent than with traditional braces), we will be able to see the changes in your smile. Invisalign aligners are typically worn for a few weeks before being replaced with the next set in your treatment plan. To achieve the results you want with Invisalign, it’s important to wear your removable aligners for 20-22 hours each day.
Discreet
Invisalign aligners are a virtually invisible braces option, which makes them an appealing option for kids, teens or adults looking to fix common misalignments like crowding, crookedness, gaps between teeth and malocclusions (e.g. overbites; underbites).
Convenient
Invisalign is removable, so you can take out your aligners before eating or brushing your teeth. This way you don’t have any dietary restrictions and you can brush and floss your teeth normally without having to worry about cleaning between brackets and wires.
Comfortable
The thin, flexible material of which Invisalign is made will not irritate the soft tissues of the mouth, as metal braces can. Plus – if you have a teeth-grinding or clenching habit, clear aligners can sometimes function as thin nightguards that will protect your teeth from excessive wear.

Blue Diamond+ Invisalign providers in Allen & McKinney
The doctors you choose matter. Invisalign is not the same in every office. As Blue Diamond+ Invisalign providers with over 15,000 cases treated, Drs. Ghosh and Lofgren’s experience with Invisalign is superior, they know which cases to treat, which cases not to treat, and how to treat with proper sequencing and priority. Unlike many, the family orthodontists at Creekview & McKinney Orthodontics do not delegate planning your treatment to a technician.
Our doctors are orthodontists, meaning they’re specialists in moving teeth and jaws. They have years of education past dental school, over 50 years of combined orthodontic experience, 30 years of Invisalign experience and hundreds of hours of continuing education. Moving teeth is all they do, not just a small part of what they do along with other dental treatments. Wouldn’t you want your teeth in the care of a specialist?
